President-Elect (1-Year Term; 3-Year Commitment)

Aneka Kerlin, ASID, NCIDQ
Founder & President/CEO, Aneka Interiors

“I am interested in serving on the ASID Colorado Chapter Board because I believe design has the power to positively impact the way people live, connect, and experience the world around them. After more than 25 years in the profession, I am passionate about giving back to the design community that has contributed so much to my own growth and success.

One area I hope to bring greater awareness to is the conversation around aging and Senior Living design. As designers, we have an opportunity—and a responsibility—to help shift perceptions about aging by creating environments that are not only beautiful, but also functional, welcoming, and deeply connected to the people who use them. The language we use matters. How we talk about aging, accessibility, wellness, and community influences how these environments are perceived and ultimately designed. I would like to help advocate for a more thoughtful and inclusive approach that addresses ageism and recognizes that great design should support people at every stage of life.

More broadly, I am passionate about elevating the profession of interior design and helping designers understand and communicate the value we bring to our clients and communities. Whether through mentorship, education, advocacy, or collaboration, I hope to support initiatives that strengthen our profession, encourage innovation, and create opportunities for designers to learn from one another.”

Director of Membership (2-Year Term)

Wendy Lowell-Nattrass, ASID Allied
Wendy Lowell Interiors

“I’m applying for the Membership Director position because, over the past nine months, I’ve really stepped into the role and become genuinely invested in both the position and the ASID community. While I originally came in to help fill the role, I’ve since put in a significant amount of time and energy and now have a strong understanding of how it works and what it needs.

I’ve attended board meetings, national sessions, and many events, which has allowed me to get to know both the board and our members. That familiarity has helped me feel confident in the role and more connected to the community as a whole.

I naturally take a relationship-based approach. I enjoy connecting people, welcoming new members, and helping create a positive, easygoing environment at events. I’ve also been working on initiatives like the “Bring a Friend” program and helping review membership status to make sure things are fair and running smoothly.

Looking ahead, I’d love to continue building a chapter that feels welcoming, supportive, and well-connected—where members feel comfortable showing up, getting involved, and being part of something that has real value.

I’d really appreciate the opportunity to continue in this role and keep building on the momentum that’s already there.”

At-Large Director (2-Year Term)

Courtney Sikora, ASID, NCIDQ
Owner / Principal Designer, Speas Interior Design, LLC

“I am honored to accept the opportunity to serve on the ASID Board and contribute to the continued growth of our chapter. As an interior designer in Colorado Springs, I am passionate about strengthening the connection between our local design community and ASID.

My goal is to help expand awareness of the value ASID brings to our profession, foster meaningful relationships within our design community, and create opportunities for collaboration among designers, industry partners, and related professionals. By building stronger community connections and encouraging active participation, we can continue to grow our chapter and deliver successful, impactful events that educate, inspire, and connect our members.

I look forward to working alongside fellow board members to support our profession, strengthen our chapter, and create a vibrant and welcoming community for designers throughout Colorado Springs and beyond.”
