The Crystal Awards are held annually to honor those who have achieved excellence in Interior Design. Recognizing talent, hard work, and dedication, the Crystal Awards are a unique opportunity to highlight your work and acknowledge the work of your peers.
- Eligible projects must be submitted by a designer.
- Eligible projects can be located outside of Colorado.
- National and international work is encouraged.
- Eligible projects must have been built and completed between May 2022 and April 2025.
ASID MEMBERS: All members of the CO and NM Chapter are eligible for a member entry rate. You must have your ASID member number and be a current member in good standing to be eligible for a member entry.
NON-MEMBERS: May include designers from within the state of Colorado and New Mexico.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Entries from any project that has been previously awarded at the ASID Colorado Crystal Awards will not be accepted.
- Please fill out entries completely; use appropriate appellations. You are responsible for crediting everyone on your team. ASID Colorado assumes no liability for errors or omissions in this regard. Incomplete or missing forms will constitute failure to comply with the requirements of the competition and the entry may be disqualified.
- Be sure to credit your photographer(s) responsible for the images submitted with each entry.
- ASID Colorado reserves the right for our graphic design team to select images from winning ASID Member entries to feature in Chapter Advertising, without prior notification to designer or design firm.
- All entrants agree to abide by ASID Branding & Logo Usage Guidelines for any advertising they may have which mentions the ASID Colorado Crystal Awards. Current Branding & Logo Usage Guidelines will be emailed to all winners.
- Winners will be announced at the 2025 CRYSTAL AWARDS GALA on THURSDAY, JULY 24, 2025, at Mile High Station.

ENTRY FEES
All items must be submitted through the online portal no later than May 19, 2025. Member and early submission rates apply:
- Early ASID Member rate per entry - $250 (by April 19)
- ASID Member rate per entry - $275 (from April 20 to May 19)
- Early Non-member rate per entry - $350 (by April 19)
- Non-member rate per entry - $375 (from April 20 to May 19)
STEPS TO ENTER
1. REVIEW CATEGORIES AND REQUIREMENTS.

2. COMPLETE ENTRY APPLICATION ONLINE AND PAY ENTRY FEES.
All items must be submitted through the online portal no later than May 19, 2025.
3. RECEIVE ENTRY CONFIRMATION EMAIL.
This email will include official entry numbers, forms, and instructions on how to deliver entry materials electronically.
4. PREPARE ENTRY MATERIALS. THIS APPLIES TO ALL CATEGORIES.
- Floor Plans: Recommended, not required but may be helpful reference.
- Images: ALL CATEGORIES are limited to a maximum of 12 images. This is inclusive of “before” photos, and concept sketches/images count. Floor plans do not count toward the image limit. Ensure that you credit your photographer(s) responsible for the images submitted with each entry.
Image Requirements: All Categories – save all images as JPEG files, 300 ppi at the following orientation size:
LANDSCAPE: (w) 1800 x (h) 1200
PORTRAIT: (w) 1200 by (h) 1800
- Naming of Files: All files should be named with your category number, entry number (provided upon payment) and sequence number or description. EXAMPLE:
o 01-1005_1.jpg, 01-1005_2.jpg (thru 12 images)

5. MATERIAL UPLOAD
Please use the new Team/Project Form to upload your materials. Homeowners and Photo release docs should be completed and uploaded with materials.
6. ONLINE FORM FUNCTIONALITY
When form is complete, click submit. Entries will not be editable once submitted. The system will send you a copy of the finalized entry for your records. To save the form for later, click Save, click Skip, create an account, and enter your email. The system will save the content and send you a link to access the form in progress.
7. RETURN ENTRY MATERIALS
Complete forms with all required entry materials. Completed entries due no later than May 19, 2025.

This year there will be only one winner and five finalists per category. - All documents, photographs, scans, floor plans, elevations, diagrams, sketches, digital renderings as submitted become the property of ASID Colorado.
- ASID Colorado reserves the right to crop, edit, resize and use submitted entries at their discretion unless permission has been specifically restricted.
- ASID Colorado also reserves the right of full discretion to utilize winner’s photographs in any publication, electronic format or other media unless permission has been specifically restricted.
- ASID Colorado cannot guarantee the inclusion of any or all winners’ photography or Designer’s information in subsequent publications where editorial decision-making is beyond ASID Colorado’s control.
- Designers, design team members, clients (if disclosed), project information & product information will be credited at the discretion of ASID Colorado.

1. Corporate office or Workplace – Under 20,000 Square Feet
Eligible spaces may include but are not limited to: professional service firms and corporations.
2. Corporate office or Workplace – 20,000 Square Feet & Over
Eligible spaces may include but are not limited to: professional service firms and corporations.
3. Hospitality – Under 25,000 Square Feet
Eligible spaces may include but are not limited to: restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, resorts, cruise ships, clubhouses, and amenity buildings.
4. Hospitality – 25,000 Square Feet & Over
Eligible spaces may include but are not limited to: restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, resorts, cruise ships, clubhouses, and amenity buildings.
5. Health and Wellness
Eligible spaces may include but are not limited to: medical & wellness practices, hospitals, health spas, gyms.
6. NEW! Higher Education, Public Assembly & Government
Eligible spaces may include but are not limited to: stadiums, transportation centers, airports, government and municipal spaces, conference centers, civic/cultural – visitor center, museum, religious institutions, community centers, universities or collegiate buildings.
7. NEW! Educational Learning Spaces – PK-12
Eligible spaces may only include those spaces designed for PK through 12th grade.
8. Single Space, Dedicated Function – Commercial
Entries should focus on any one single space that serves a dedicated function. Examples include but are not limited to: lobbies, studios, teaming areas, conference rooms, break rooms, hotel bars, dining spaces, public restrooms.
9. Retail
Including but not limited to: shopping malls, car dealerships, clothing, boutique stores, salons, product displays, sales centers, vignettes, showrooms, or exhibits.
10. Multi-Family – New Build
Eligible entries: Project size of 2 or more units. Multi-family for sale or for rent projects including the residential units, public circulation, and amenities. Can include leasing center or multifamily complexes.
11. NEW! Multi-Family – Renovation
Eligible entries: Project size of 2 or more units. Multi-family for sale or for rent projects including the residential units, public circulation, and amenities. Can include leasing center or multifamily complexes.
12. NEW! Senior Living
Eligible entries: Project size of 2 or more units. Senior Living for sale or for rent projects including residential units, public circulation, and amenities. Can include leasing centers or multifamily complexes.
13. Custom Designed Element - Commercial
Entries must demonstrate a CUSTOM designed element. Examples include but are not limited to: millwork, glazing, lighting design, fixtures, furniture, and art installation. Process drawings to illustrate the designer's intent are required.
RESIDENTIAL INTERIOR DESIGN CATEGORIES
14. New Construction Under 3,500 Square Feet
Entries must not exceed 3,500 square feet. Entries may include but are not limited to: single family homes, townhomes, lofts, condominiums, apartment units, second residences and vacation homes. Only new construction projects are eligible.
15. New Construction 3,500-6,500 Square Feet
Entries must be between 3,500-6,500 square feet. Entries may include but are not limited to: single family homes, townhomes, lofts, condominiums, apartment units, second residences, and vacation homes. Only new construction projects are eligible.
16. New Construction Over 6,500 Square Feet
Entries must be over 6,500 square feet. Entries may include but are not limited to: single family homes, townhomes, lofts, condominiums, apartments, second residences, and vacation homes. Only new construction projects are eligible.
17. Renovation of Townhomes, Lofts, Condominium and Apartment Units
Entries may include but are not limited to: townhomes, lofts, condominiums, and apartments. Only renovation projects are eligible. Entries must include before and after photography.
18. Kitchen Renovation
Entries must focus on a kitchen within a private residence. Only renovation projects are eligible. Entries must include before and after photography.
19. Bath Renovation
Entries must focus on a single bathroom within a private residence. Only renovation projects are eligible. Entries must include before and after photography.
20. Kitchen Renovation by a Small Firm (3 or fewer employees)
Entries must focus on a kitchen within a private residences. Only renovation projects are eligible. Entries must include before and after photography.
21. Bath Renovation by a Small Firm (3 or fewer employees)
Entries must focus on a single bathroom within a private residence. Only renovation projects are eligible. Entries must include before and after photography.
22. Outdoor Living
Entries must be designed to take advantage of outdoor spaces in residential settings. Examples include but are not limited to: pools, outdoor living spaces, outdoor kitchens, roof-top decks, fireplaces, semi-enclosed living rooms, pergolas, gazebos. Process drawings to illustrate the designer's intent are required.
23. Single Space, Dedicated Function – Residential
Entries must focus on any one single space that serves a dedicated function. Examples include but are not limited to: entries, foyers, living rooms, entertainment rooms, home offices, libraries, garages, wine cellars and dining areas. New construction and remodel projects are eligible.
24. Custom Designed Element – Residential
Entries must demonstrate a CUSTOM designed element. Examples include but are not limited to: millwork, glazing, lighting design, fixtures, furniture, and art installation. Process drawings to illustrate the designer's intent are required.
25. Renovation Under 5,000 Square Feet – Residential
Only renovation projects are eligible. Entries must not exceed 5,000 square feet. Entries may include but are not limited to: single family homes, townhomes, lofts, condominiums and apartment units, second residences and vacation homes. Only new construction projects are eligible.
26. Renovation Over 5,000 Square Feet – Residential
Only renovation projects are eligible. Entries must exceed 5,000 square feet. Entries may include but are not limited to: single family homes, townhomes, lofts, condominiums and apartment units, second residences and vacation homes. Only new construction projects are eligible.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION
27. Industry Partner Commissions/Collaborative Projects
Projects submitted by industry professionals for a specific project; includes but not limited to any one-of-a-kind custom-made items. Manufacturers’ products are not eligible.
28. NEW! ASID Colorado Student/Early Career Achievement
ASID Student Members from Colorado and New Mexico as well as First Year Members in Colorado and New Mexico are eligible to submit a project. Projects can be of any size or sector type. Submissions will be judged by an anonymous jury. One winner will be selected prior to the gala and will receive two complimentary admissions to the Crystal Awards Gala, formal awards presentation, and all the perks of being a Crystal Awards winner.
